What Inspired Recruiting for Good to Help Maui Strong?

Before the fires destroyed Lahaina, Recruiting for Good was rewarding a sweet trip to party in Maui (experience Kapalua Wine and Food Festival at Ritz Carlton) to help raise money for our sweet mentoring program; Girls Design Tomorrow.

Davina Kaonohi, who had worked at Recruiting for Good a couple of years ago as a chief community officer; had inspired the trip.

"Davina is now CEO/Co-Founder of Element Apothec, mom, and proud Hawaiian. And instead of raising money for our kids' program, we're going to use recruiting for good to reward referrals to companies hiring professional staff with $2500 donations for Maui Strong; and $2500 Gift Cards to Stay at The Sweetest Hotels in Wailea (Maui)."

Traveling to Maui Makes a Positive Impact

"Every dollar a visitor spends on the island helps its economy, explains Ilihia Gionson, public affairs officer for the Hawaii Tourism Authority. Maui has an economy, for better or worse, that right now is very dependent on visitor spending. Shopping at local shops, eating at local restaurants that support local farmers, doing activities run by small local businesses—those dollars are directly supporting the residents; they are directly keeping local people employed."
